DON'T MISS THE TOP 20 EVENT AT THE 2008 PCA NATIONAL SPECIALTY SHOW!

For the past two years, we have had the pleasure of having the parade of the Top 20 papillons!  And this 2008 PCA National Specialty Show will be no different!  Seeing the top paps one after another is a truly wonderful event that you won't want to miss.

The Top Twenty Event has been initiated to encourage the exhibition of papillons in the breed competition. This event will hopefully become an annual part of each PCA National Specialty and will serve a variety of purposes.  First and foremost, it will serve to honor these special dogs and their handlers and owners who have worked so hard to bring them to this level of competition be providing a showcase for those papillons with the most outstanding records in breed competition.

Secondly, it will assist in educating judges, exhibitors, breeders and fanciers. It will offer all an opportunity to view the Cream of the Crop together in one ring. Lastly, it will also promote discussions of the standard which encourages the exchange of ideas.

ELIGIBILITY:

The Top Twenty standings are based on show results published on the AKC website, beginning with January 1 and ending December 31 each year. Dogs will be awarded 1 point for each dog defeated in breed competition only. Once the final statistics have been compiled, the Top Twenty papillons will be invited to participate at the event the following April/May at he PCA National Specialty.
