Ch. Jaclair’s Howdy Doody, CD

" Doopy "

5th American All Breed Best in Show Winner

Am/Can Ch. Jaclair’s Howdy Doody, CD - " Doopy "

"Doopy" ( call name from combining his parent’s names ) was the first

fourth-generation Best in Show winner in the US, following the lead of his famous

sire Doodles, his grandsire Jason and his great-grandsire, Gowdy.  He won the

show at St. Catherine’s, Ontario on April 3, 1976 and went on to his American BIS

at Antelope Valley KC in Lancaster, California on June 12, 1976.

Doopy was a PCA Sire of Distinction and was PCA’s Top Winning Papillon for the

year 1975.  He is the sire of the multiple BIS winning Ch. Bannahyde’s UFO of Beechwood.

When he won his American Best in Show he was carrying a CD title.  Thus he became the second Papillon to do so.

Again following in his famous sire’s footsteps.

He got the name “Howdy Doody” because as a puppy he would watch “It’s Howdy Doody Time!”, the children’s show on

television with Clarice’s granddaughter.  If she clapped when the show started he would dance to the music
