His sire, TJ, was a Best
In Show winner and
Luke’s destiny was
soon to unfold.
While
accompanying his
breeders to a
National Specialty in
1990, he was seen by
John Oulton.
John
liked what he saw and
agreed to take Luke home
and special
him.
He campaigned him
out East and it wasn’t
long before he had an
all breed Best in Show
on him. Luke was an Award of
Merit winner at
Westminster as well as
at both the 1991 and
1992 PCA National
Specialties.
Once retired, he
returned home
to
be shown in Canada.
Luke quickly finished
his Canadian title while
placing in the Group.
Retired from the
show ring, Luke has
become "second in
command" to his
sire, the BIS/BISS
Am/Can Ch. Kvar Touch of
Josandre’. CD and is
quite content to run and
play.
He is a Sire of Merit
and the grandson of the
BIS Ch. Kvar Gone A
Hunting.
His grandson,
Am/Can Ch. Josandre’
Shiny
Button, who looks and
acts just like him is
already a multiple group
winner in Canada.
In April of 2003, at the
age of fifteen, Luke
died peacefully in my
home as I held him close
and whispered
softly my final
"Good
Man, Lukie Dog".
He was laid to
rest among his great
friends and famous
relatives whom I have
loved and outlived.
He
was an incredibly gentle
soul and a great
companion.
Until
we meet again Lukie Dog,
I miss you ...
