I live in Massachusetts
with my wife, Linda, and
my son, Evan. I
graduated from Purdue
University in 1973 with
a degree
in Veterinary Medicine.
In 1975 I opened my own
veterinary practice
where I have a large
breeder and pet
clientele. I have
written educational
articles, i.e.
Anesthesia in the
Papillon and Other Toy
Dogs; Short Course of
Breeding, Whelping and
Raising Puppies; Judging
the Papillon,
My involvement with the sport of purebred dogs began in 1973. My first
breeds were German
Shorthaired and
Wirehaired
Pointers. In 1980 my
wife and I obtained our
first Papillon. Along
with my wife Linda, we
have been breeding
Papillons
under the kennel name
L’Ete ever since. We
have bred and owned
Specialty winners, as
well as National
Specialty winners
and Best in Show
winners.
I have been approved to judge the breed for many years. I have served the
Papillon Club of America
in many different
capacities over the
years. I was chairman of
both the judge’s
education committee and
the member education
committee.
I have served as a
mentor to new and
prospective judges.
I volunteer my veterinary services to Papillon rescue and have accepted
their request to license
my facility as a
quarantine
station for PCA rescues
coming into
Massachusetts from other
states, which is
required by
Massachusetts state law.
My wife and I have
always been supportive
of rescue. We have taken
in many rescues since
the early 1980’s for
both the
Papillon Club of America
and the Patriot Papillon
Club in Massachusetts. I
currently serve as a
Board Member and
Chairman
of the Health Assessment
Committee for the
Papillon Care and Rescue
Trust
