Since 1980 a portion of
my life has been
dedicated to our
butterfly dogs. I first
joined the Papillon Club
of America in 1981
and have enjoyed
continual PCA membership
since 1988. I was an
early member of the
Metropolitan Area
Papillon Club,
a founding member of the
Three Rivers Papillon
Club and a former
officer of the Nita Nee
Kennel Club of Central
Pennsylvania.
I have bred Papillons under the kennel name of Lyndylore from 1980 to
1998. From 1998 to
present my Papillons
carry the
prefix of ‘Forevr’. My
childhood hometown is
Bellefonte Pennsylvania.
My parents early on
taught me responsible
dog
ownership and always
have had a dog sleeping
on or near the foot of
my bed. Today I share
two homes with my wife
Ruth Ann
and our Papillons. One
in the Alleghany
Mountains of Central
Pennsylvania and another
in the Hill Country of
South Central
Texas. I enjoy travel
and attend all breed
shows and specialty
shows in both areas and
all regions in between.
It has been an honor for me to have judged Papillons as a sweepstakes
judge. In 1999 The Alamo
Papillon Society,
2001 Metropolitan
Papillon Society and in
2007 The Papillon Club
of America National
Specialty in San Antonio
Texas.
I care about all Papillons and because I do I served as a Trustee for PCA
during the term of
2003-2004. I have tried
to give
back to the Papillon a
little what these
wonderful dogs have
given to me through
educating Papillon
fancier’s conformation
and companion pet
owners. I have penned
with my wife several
published articles in
different dog magazines
such as
Top Notch Toys, The
Papillon Annual, Pap
Talk Magazine, The
Australian Papillon Club
and have been requested
to write
articles for numerous
other publications. Our
education of the
Papillon is also a
presence online with
articles and information
on the breed at our site
showpaps.com I share the
duty with my wife
running online email
list forums for the new
breed fancier
and pet owner called
Papillon-Fancy and a
small forum for the
serious breeder
exhibitors called
Papillon-edu.
I have bred and shown numerous conformation champions and group winners
at AKC shows. What
better way to improve
the
breed but by sharing a
quality dog not only in
North America but around
the world. There are
champion Papillons that
carry the
Forevr prefix in Canada,
Sweden, Finland, New
Zealand and South
America, plus several
other countries. A few
of these
export champions have
influenced kennel lines
as well and some have
become breed specialty
winners, and all breed
Best
in Shows winners.
It is without a doubt a crowing pennant for me to be one of the few
gentleman to accept
Honorary Lifetime
Membership from
the Papillon Club of
America.
