PCA ( Papillon Club of America ) funded a 2 year study with Michigan State. Grant No. 2031 : Investigation of Candidate Loci for Progressive Retinal Atrophy in the Collie, Old English Sheepdog, Papillon, Tibetan terrier and Belgian Tervuren. Our portion of the study was $ 22,211.

PCA has continued to support this study trying to find the markers for PRA. Our portion of the study is $ 14,750.

| SURVEY : | ||||
|
PCA did surveys in 2000 and 2002. These were done to track potential problems and be progressive in finding solutions. These may be viewed at the Health Survey link. As future problems become evident and research grants funds are sought, we will join research to help solve genetic problems.
