Jack
LOCATION: CALIFORNIA
AGE: 14 years
WEIGHT: 9 LBS.
Hi Potential Adopter! My name is Jack. My Foster Mom (FM) calls me "Panda Jack" because I have a little waddle
to my walk and look like a big, fluffy panda bear.
I am a 14 year old Papillon with lots of spunk and love to give. Although I am older, I have been given
a clean bill of health by my FM's veterinarian. I recently had some surgeries that involved removing some
tumors on my sides, a complete dental and they did a special thing with my toenails. The Dr said I do not
have cancer, that my tumors were not malignant, just annoying. I feel much better with them off. I have
bald sides because they had to shave me for surgery, but my hair is starting to grow back. I still have most
of my teeth and love to gnaw on rawhide chewies. I also love to play tug-of-war with my stretchy zebra and go
for walks. After baths, I usually do several laps of zoomies around the house after a vigorous rub down in the
towel by FM. I sleep a lot, and prefer my own bed in a quiet corner away from commotion. I'm not much of a
lap dog per se, but more of a foot dog. I love feet. I love to sleep at feet, I love to lick feet, I love to
tickle feet. I lick knees too, but I really like feet. I do love to be petted, have my tummy rubbed and be
brushed gently. I like girl dogs, but not particularly other boy dogs, unless they are older and small like me.
I like cats too. Children are OK if they are older, but I don't like quick little hands, they scare me!
I prefer to just look at children, not be touched by them.
Foster Mom here: Jack is a very vibrant, handsome and happy dog. He has a real zest for life. He is slow
to moderately active, and prefers a lazy, more relaxed lifestyle. He is very obedient and respectful. He
does not enjoy being on the bed or furniture, but prefers his own little area to sleep. Sometimes he sleeps
at the entrance to my bedroom door, but by and large, he remains in his own bed in the living room. He does
have bouts of zoomies after each bath, which he is good about. He usually only barks in the house when he
wants a treat or wants to play. He uses a dog door and is housetrained. He could easily adjust to frequent
walks in lieu of the dog door. He is free fed on a diet of chicken and rice kibble for seniors. He also gets
a teaspoon of vanilla low-fat yogurt every day to keep his digestive track in-line. He is a very low maintenance
dog as far as Papillons go. He is not needy and does not require any "special care" at this time. He likes men
and women equally, favoring neither, unless you have food. Please consider adding this special senior gentleman
to your home!
